Internship Program

We plan to launch our internship program in 2025.
Our goal is to open applications for our program by December 1, 2024.

We are passionate about educating and empowering the next generation of our profession and working to change our profession from an investment management focused sales culture to a financial planning focused service culture. To be the change we want to see, we are planning to launch our internship program in 2025. Our program will:

  • be a paid financial planning internship
  • begin in May and end in August
  • have 5-10 interns annually

Our goal of our internship program is to educate and empower you to:

Our internship program is designed for full time college students
that are interested in a career in financial planning.

Our program is a two-part program:

Part 1

of our program is designed for students between their sophomore and junior year and is more of an overview of our profession and a continuation of classroom learning in the real world.

 Interactive industry training with our planners

 Leadership development curriculum

 Joining weekly team meetings

 Learning how to use software and how it impacts clients including
eMoney, Holistiplan, Redtail CRM and more

 Learning CFP Board’s 7 Step Financial Planning Process

Part 2

of our program is designed for students between their junior and senior year and is more of a hands-on experience of learning how to apply what is learned in part 1 and give students a more real-life experience before discerning if this is the profession for them.

 Using financial planning software to build Financial Plans

 Joining Joint Client Meetings with Financial Planners

 Leadership development curriculum

To join our program:

*With our commitment to the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢ certification, we place emphasis on students enrolled in colleges and universities with CFP Board Registered Programs that satisfy the education coursework requirement.

This includes but not limited to:

Penn State World Campus – Undergraduate Certificate in Financial Planning

Pennsylvania Western University Edinboro – B.S.B.A., Finance and Personal Financial Planning

Robert Morris – B.S., Business Administration and Financial Planning
